On a cool morning in New York's Central Park, McMillan Elite Athletes Andrew Lemoncello and Brett Gotcher toed the line against a high quality field for the NYRR Healthy Kidney 10k. Up against World-Class Athletes such as Abderrahim Goumri (2nd - NYC and London Marathon), Marilson Gomes dos Santos (NYC Marathon Winner) and Patrick Makau (#3 All-Time at Half-Marathon), both Lemoncello and Gotcher stepped up to the challenge and ran superb times on the difficult course.

Of the race, Lemoncello was most pleased with his performance. Two weeks prior, Lemoncello was set back by a severe cramp at the Payton Jordan Invitational 10k in which he was forced to stop half-way. This performance will set him up nicely for the coming summer racing schedule leading to the Beijing Olympics. Brett Gotcher, coming off another 10k PR two weeks prior, finished as the 5th American and 18th overall.

McMillan Elite would like to thank the New York Road Runners for their support of American Distance Running and specifically for their generosity to the McMillan Elite team.
